This photo of Grandpa was taken at Christmas dinner in 2008, where he was surrounded by loved ones sharing stories and a good meal. He was always a very generous man and insisted on providing everyone with a banquet when family was in town, "My treat! My treat!" His wisdom, foresight, and a lifetime of prudence allowed him to live his final years in luxury. At meal times he would say "They're going to fatten me up here!" But his passion for fitness and an active lifestyle kept him in excellent shape beyond his years.

Condolences and Prayers from Facebook
These prayers and condolences were posted to my Facebook page, http://Facebook.com/RichSwingle.
I got a call from my folks about an hour before my 93-year-old grandpa died. I was able to thank him for all he'd done to inspire me and pray with him, reminding him of his Salvation. We've started a memorial blog for him: http://CliffMillerPhD.BlogSpot .com/.

I was so sorry to hear about the passing of Rich's grandfather. From the e-mails he seemed like a man of vim and vigor to the very end of his earthly life. I praise the Lord for this life, and that his legacy lives on in his beloved grandson. May he find rest and refreshment in the arms of the Savior, and may all who remain find peace and comfort in the everlasting arms.
Jim, Linda and Rebkah
